PBH Accounting is a unique husband-and-wife team led by Paul and Abigail Barker, offering over 40 years of combined accountancy experience.
Having worked our way up in large accountancy firms, we gained invaluable experience but quickly recognised the challenges small businesses face when dealing with larger firms. From unexpected costs to a lack of personal service, we understood the frustrations of small businesses feeling like just another number.
In 2012, we launched PBH Accounting with a mission to serve small and medium-sized businesses and individuals. Our promise is simple:

Paul Barker
My goal is to simplify accountancy for our clients, answering questions and ensuring they feel confident about their finances.
I began my career at Price Bailey and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004. Over the years, I’ve held management roles in prominent firms, including PA Consulting Group and the FTSE 250-listed Kier Group.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children, playing sports, and occasionally fitting in a round of golf.
Abigail Barker
I started my journey with top 30 accountancy firm Price Bailey LLP in 2004, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2008. My expertise spans management accounts, VAT, small traders, and limited companies, but my passion lies in personal tax.
As a keen horse rider and mother of two, I value flexibility, and that’s something we extend to our clients. We know not everyone works 9-5, so we offer evening appointments and can visit you at your home or workplace for convenience.
